I found it was the opposite for me. My med's were what cancelled out my sex
drive, as I was told their job is to keep everything in the brain calm and
stable. If I saw a dirty mag or something that turned me on, it felt like
my med's were going "Oh no you don't!" and soon, it's gone. Very
embarrassing on a date when I'd be getting a condom out, only to find it's
going down til there's nothing to put it on!
Instead, I got sent to a Urologist who suggested a penile implant where
rubber tubes are inserted into the shaft, and tubes leading to a reservoir
placed in the scrotum with a pump on it. You just push a button on the pump
and the fluid gets forced into the tubes and up it goes. When you're done,
just push the button again to let it drain out.
I was seriously thinking about it, as each time I tried to have sex with my
girlfriend, I'd pull out a condom and get it ready, but just as I'm trying
to put it on, I'd lose the erection, so no sex. But after brain surgery, I
started reducing my meds and slowly I started to see erections coming back
and staying for longer than just a few seconds. Still I wonder what it
would've been like if I'd had that operation.
