The more violent type you mention is called a Grand Mal seizure. The other is
called Petit(pron. "Petty") Mal. There are many variations of medicine for them
. I too, hope Sarena does better, and will pray for her. I can sympathize with
her pain, as I have had seizures myself since April, 1969(16 months old). I am
now 43.

thanks dorris sarena has been on a few meds now she is on clobazam lamictal and
ketogenic diet she has doose syndrome the diet has heled her in so many ways we
r currently in the process of the VNS

Hi Keena,
I have seizures when asleep (nocturnal) only. I used to get
them when awake, but post left temporal they changed to nocturnal
only. Know there are numerous drugs given for these and you
surely should ask about that. I take Lamictal and have been for
several years. I get these seizures at least once or twice a month.
I sure hope Sarena finds just what is needed to completely control
this. I will put Sarena on my prayer list. Take care.
