Hi Adrien,
Did I miss something? It sounds like someone was assuming that if someone ever drinks they would drive under the influence especially if they had a history of seizures? I don't and I just have one beer or a glass of wine once and a while and I know plenty of other people who don't after having just one.
My seizures only occur during MS or Lyme disease episodes and they are mild. During that time I do not drive even though I always have warning and memory of the seizures. I also don't drink. That is my decision though and everyone is different and needs to do what they think is best for them. I also chose not to take meds at this time so there is no drug interaction concerns. Before I knew they were seizures I would occasionally drink during the episodes and it didn't seem to be a trigger or make it worse but now I know I decided against it but that is what I think is best for me.
Did you say you live in France? What is it like there. I did a semester in Hungary and also got to spend time in the Czech Republic, Austria, and Romania. I almost didn't come back. I came very close to transferring to the University in Prague since I loved the Czech Republic so much. It was so much more laid back and people were so much more friendly and genuine than here. I didn't get to go to France but did make friends with a few students who were from South France. I'm so sorry I never got the chance to check it out when I was closer but you never know I may get to some day.

Hi Steve
Firstly, I have never driven and never likely too, apart
from being epileptic, I am totally blind, so driving isn't
an option seizure or no seizure. Yes they have driving laws
over here but I don't know them and they are very strict on
drink driving, I think it's a zero or near zero limit but
I'm not sure.
As for neurologists, I haven't seen one for 13 years but as
my seizures are well controlled, I'm not too worried but
obviously it's always at the back of my mind that sooner or
later I will have to get a check up as my body changes as I
get older. I think that covers all your questions.
Regards
Adrien
