Heather, do you mind me asking how the tea bothered you? Right now, green tea is the only thing helping me make it to my 1:30 window, it seems to help keep my appetite under control. I'm waiting for that appetite supressant to kick in....:)
I started getting ulcers, actually. I was reading that feeding rats tannin induced ulcers, by thinning the mucous lining of the stomach. So I stopped the tea, and started taking konjac, and the ulcers went away. Or I think they did. They were diagnosed when I was 'scoped by a gastro doc, but he really didn't have a plan for how to get rid of them, which I found odd. But the symptoms (stomach pain) went away, which is good enough for me.
BTW I still drink tea all day, but I switched to fresh Neem leaf or fresh lemon verbena, both of which I find quite yummy. Mostly I don't like herbal teas, but those two work for me. I think drinking hot liquids is a nervous habit for me. "Hunger" hasn't been an issue for a couple of years now, but thirst still is.
