If worst comes to worst, try eating a celery stick or other raw vegie. A lot of us came to this through the "Warrior Diet", which allows raw fruits and vegies during the day ... but eventually you don't want them during the day. It's a decent "halfway step", kind of like moving your breakfast back and hour each day. Meat broth can help too, or hot lemon tea.
It's pretty common for day 5 to be the worst, then it gets better. Maybe your worst day just came early!

This is my third day on Fast 5. I started out pretty much cold turkey, went right to fasting until 5pm. I was fine the first day, only a few hunger pangs that lasted a short time and then abated. Better than fine second day, barely hungry at all. But today I am starving! My tummy is boinging and pinging and I'm starting to fantasize about food. The ebook says the 3rd, 4th or 5th day would be the hardest, I am hoping that the 4th and 5th aren't worse than this or I may not make it. Anyone have any suggestions? I also don't think going back and starting over with a more gradual approach would help me, I doubt I would stick to it long enough to get my window down to only 5 hours.
