Hi,
My 11 year old daughter has been on Topamax for the last three months. I *
really* did not want her to go on it, mostly because I worried about the
possibility that she might stop sweating. Luckily, that never happened.
However, she has had a lot of trouble with memory problems.
Basically, you really don't know how a drug will affect your child until you
actually try. With some people, Topamax is great. Others have problems. I
am trying to get my daughter off of the Topamax, but I also worry that I
will regret it. What if her seizures come back?
It's a tough decision, either way.
