Hi Steve,
I have had the VNS now for the past 10 years. When I feel it getting ready to go on I try to take a deep breath to hopefully get my voice back to normal. My voice is a small bit low anyway. I have had some people ask me if I am not feeling well and I have had people think I am treating them bad, but I did let my supervisor know, but I do get questioned at times. Sometimes I say something about it others not. Not a whole lot to do about it.

I've got a question for people who have VNS. It has to do with how VNS affects your tone of voice when the VNS goes on. I would appreciate hearing how people who have VNS deal with responses from other people who take your tone of voice the wrong way.
For instance, working behind a register and customers take your sudden tone of voice change as though you are not treating them in a friendly way. Then they go to complain to supervisors about your tone of voice.
I really would appreciate how you deal with this problem.
Steve
