[Healthy_Recipes_For_Diabetic_Friends] Cold Chocolate Porridge

 

Sounds discusting but the coacoa stops the porridge coagulating and it is delicious. Keeps for two days and freezes well.

This is the vegan version but add dairy if you want.

1 cup jumbo oats
1 cup oat bran
2tbsps organic cocoa
1 tbsp Lecthin
2tbsps flaked almonds
1 tbsp sultanas

Mix in a pan with enough soya milk to cover. Bring to the boil then turn down to asimmer, stirring frequently or it will clump and stick. Add boiling water when it thickens up. Cook for about 20 mins.Allow to cool, then stir in 3 scoops of protein powder and 1tbsp of flax or hemp oil, with extra soya or rice milk if it is too thick.

Take it with you in a lock and lock container, you will find that about acup at a time will keep you going for a few hours. Very useful when you are vegan andcan't find a veggie place to eat when you are out or travelling all day.
