For my headaches -- at any time I choose -- I very much enjoy using this technique, which I read in some medical journal in the past:
- fill the bathtub with cold water, high-enough to go above the
ankles; it doesn't have to be ice water
- stand in and walk slowly back and forth until your basically numb
in the feet from the water and don't feel the coldness any more;
it shouldn't take that long
- "Get out, lie in bed, and you headache will melt away."
This always worked fine for me. The article described something about the feet and the muscles?/blood flow? there and how it affects reduction of a headache. Seemed simple and easy to try; I imagine that just sitting in a chair with a basin would be suitable too. Many places don't have a tub anyway.
