I had NOOOO problem in the eighties in highschool. I'd start banging my head
on the floor and they'd accompany me to the nurse's office. In college I
already sent the story about hurling the tuition check through the window.
In general in the 80's, Except for one teacher who absolutely felt helpless
and confused. She would run out into the hall. Actually not a bad response
as far as I was concerned.
I took a class with a professor who said if you miss an exam that's it-
you're going to fail because I don't give make-up exams! So an exam started
one day and I had an attack right in front of her as she passed out the
tests. I got a makeup exam.
