Hi amazonfemale,
Wow. There is really a lot in this short message. If you think you
may be pregnant, that has to move to the top of the priorities, as
both seizures and meds can affect a pregnancy. Make sure your neuro
knows that you may be pregnant before you do anything else.
Lamictal can cause seizures if you have too little of the med in your
blood stream or too much in your blood stream. (Not a personal
favorite drug of mine, but that is only due to the lack of success in
controlling my daughter's seizures.) Was your doctor surprised
because he thought the level was in the theraputic range? I don't get
the point of an EMU without weaning off of meds, as I thought the
whole point was to study your particular seizure(s). Can't do that if
you don't have any, I would think.
I am sorry to hear that you have so many health issues at such a
young age. You sound like a person who has inner strength though, so
I am sure you will get through all of this.
Again, it is very important that you let your neuro know right away
that you think you may be pregnant. This very well may change what he
wants to do in terms of tests and medication.
Take care,
Tammy
