Re: [epilepsy] unbelieveable pharmacy mistake

I always make sure to get to know my pharmacist well.  Right now the pharmacists I have totally Rock!!  They are the best.
Over the past 3 years I've had to work on finding a doctor I really like cause my doctor for over 10 # yrs. moved to New Mexico, and he had me so spoiled.  I decided to go back to my old dr.  He really is a great dr. but can be a little out the box at times, lol.  He has many old records on me.  I told him I needed prescriptions on all the meds. I take.  So I gave him the list that has all the info -  the names, mg., & how to take.  He made a copy and called it in for me.  When I went to pick it up I checked to make sure all the meds. were the correct.  This is something i always do.  Can you believe this Dr. called in the wrong perceptions.  It was from a time I had seen him in the past.  I'm talking yrs. back.  So the pharmacist made a copy of what I take and called my dr.
You guys would just need to know this man.  He is so well respected.  But can be a real goof.  If I haven't known the man for over 15 yrs.  I would have left him & found another dr.  but I trust the man.
Anyway, y'all have a great sunday!

Take care,
Ashley

Jan,

Anybody needs to always check and make sure they know what they are getting.
Sometimes the doctors make mistakes when they write out the prescriptions
too.My doctor wrote out too much of one the medicines I was on years ago.He
had not changed the dosage, but I got more pills that time. Mistakes can
happen, so everybody has to be careful and watch what they are given. Take
care.
