Re: [epilepsy] health reform bill

sadly the gov thinks the issue is with how much doctors charge for
services but what they fail to realze is that if they looked at how
much insurance reinburses for the services a doctor charges (penies)
they would start with the insurance companies. My husband owns a
physical therapy office and for in network blue cross blue sheld
patients we get a whopping 45 dollars. It costs us more to pay the
therapist and office space than 45 dollars an hour...we are loosing
money and considering closing our doors.

Look ad medications it costs over 300 dollars for a 20 day supply of
my daughter's Lictamal medication if I were to purchase the same
medication in canada it would cost around 65 dollars for 100 pills!!
I do understand that due to FDA regulations of our medications the
lictamal I could purchase from canada is different from the US
formulation. My point is that a drug company can charge that amount
because the insurance company will pay. The system that we have is
currupt but, works so, why can't we simply fix what is wrong with the
current system??????
