Re: [epilepsy] does generic brand make a difference

Hi Cathie
Some people it does and some it doesn't. For me a switch of even manufacturer, you decrease or increase the mg
I take per dose, any change period and it makes a difference in me. I either have breakthroughs or am in a
gigantic fog until they get me back to normal. If it is a new med period and even if increased slowly,
doctors like to have you wait as it takes some time for your body to get use to it. UNLESS the side effect
gets worse or seizures are happening beyond your control then other measures have to be taken.

does it make a difference when you switch from name brand depakote to a generic brand? The pharmacy assured me
it would not, but i am not sure and its for my little girl who may not be able to tell me it makes her feel
different. HELP!!!
