Julie,
I am glad I had the surgery, but the seizures are not getting any better. It
started out a couple of seizures a month, but now it has been as high as
7.My neurologist told me there was a 70% chance that I would never have
another seizure. The Keppra which is now Keppra XR Itakethe exact same dose I
did before I had the surgery, but the Neurontin which was 3200 mgs a day is
at 900mgs a day. When I came totally off the Neurontin, that is when the
seizures started, but even as it started increasing the dosage of it the
seizures have too.My neurologist at one time said it could be scar tissue
and then the hormone thing, so he doesn't know why they are acting up. I am
scheduled to go back in the hospital Tuesday to be monitored, which I totally
dread. I have to start going off my medicine tomorrow. The neurologist said
he wanted to see if they were coming from anywhere else.I just don't know.I
will be glad when the whole hospital thing is over. The surgery was a good
thing, but if they find out it is scar tissue it seems like they would have
to remove it every so often. Who knows. Take care and write me anytime.
