Hi Tammy,

The haldol is supposed to keep him from being aggressive. Autistic people tend to get aggressive sometimes. If too many things are going on at one time (like being around a very large group of people) their brain can not handle all that commotion at once and they have what is called a meltdown. Sometimes he hits me or hits himself.

 Hi Theresa,

Pardon my language, but Holy Crap! That is a lot of medication for
one little guy. I thought haldol was used for schizophrenia. Does it
have other uses? One thing your message tells me is that there is
definitely the possibility of tossing a third or even a fourth anti-
seizure med into the mix. Megan has been having more seizures now
than ever. Granted that's only about three or four a month, but she
used to have about one a year!

Take care and my best to your son,
 Tammy
