I'll second the "fat toxins" thing. I had a roommate in college that
was schizophrenic and on Haldol at one point. When she lost weight,
the Haldol would come out of the fat cells and drug her. Apparently
killer whales have the same problem with dioxin ... when they lose
weight the dioxin levels in their blood can get very high. It's a good
argument for NOT losing weight quickly.
That said, I think, from my reading, that a lot of the irritating
symptoms from fasting have to do with high cortisol levels. Your
body pumps out cortisol to force glycogen out of storage, and
since your body isn't very GOOD at getting glycogen out of storage
(out of practice, since we eat constantly!) it pumps out too much.
Which gives you headaches, irritability, etc. Sour foods counteract
that, for some reason. So does exercise. But eventually your body
gets as good at retrieving energy as it is at storing it, and then
it's a non-issue.
I used to think I was hypoglycemic, because I would get so
dizzy and close to passing out if I skipped a meal. So I tested
my blood glucose. Turns out, when I was "hypoglycemic" my
blood glucose was HIGHER than normal, which was likely a
sign of high cortisol. When I ate, the glucose levels *dropped*.
F5 tends to just even all that out.

> In the past I've found that I generally get about 2.5 tbsp per lemon. I don't know what kind of faux lemon Seven... is getting but all of the yellow plastic lemons filled with lemonish juice I've ever seen are not plain lemon juice. If you can find the ingredients, I'd be curious to know what's in there.

> The other thing to keep in mind is that your fat cells are not just storage tanks for triglycerides, but they also store toxin overload that your body can't get rid of. I don't want anyone to admit to this online, but toxins from marijuana, tobacco, and alcohol can be stored in fat cells, along with most any crap DOW chemical cares to put in our environment. If you're beginning to lose fat for the first time in a long time, there's no telling which chemicals from your fat stores are being released into your system. If you're feeling dizzy or light headed, it's probably just lower blood pressure from a decrease in salt or something... but just keep in mind if any of you have, uh, imbibed in the past, you may be experiencing a bit of a flashback of sorts. ;)
