I just want to check in and say hello, I'm new to this lovely list, although I've been reading through the messages for quite some time. I'm 28, and I live in the UK. Look forward to meeting y'all on here.
I got into IF by reading the famous blog entry at Protein Power, where Dr Eades talked about 24 hour on/ 24 hour off eating. I did that for quite some time, but have struggled with hunger so much that I've finally admitted defeat. If I ate in the morning I'd be fine, but waiting until evening the next day for my next meal was very very difficult. I'm one of those people who really do wake up hungry, and I stay hungry throughout the day if I don't eat.
I'm a little concerned about whether this approach (Fast-5), which still includes daily eating, will still yield the results the Eades were talking about... what have your experiences been? I'm not grossly overweight but I do want to lose about 15 lbs.
My real question, though, is this: as I'm very much a morning eater, as I said I wake up hungry and stay hungry, eating late in the day really doesn't work well for me. So I'd like to put my 5 hour window into the morning - breakfast at 8, lunch finished by 1. I really don't struggle with hunger late in the day. But the question is, since everyone seems to advocate eating late in the day (Fast-5 originally, as does Leangains, as do pretty much all other IF'ers who eat daily that I know of), does it make a difference?
Again, look forward to meeting all of you, best wishes!
