Re: [epilepsy] anyone pregnant/ have been pregnant?

Hi,
I know this is a very difficult but wonderous time for you.I had 2 healthy boys but during the pregnancy time there was a lot of praying and hoping going on. I took myself off of my meds without the docs. order with my first son. back then I had many siezures per day but I thought I would be ok if I did that after all it was for my baby that I did it...The third month I had my first grand mal and it scared the crap rite out of me as I ended falling down and didn't go out but I was sooo worried for the baby. Well they put me in the hosp. and started to give me my meds again and to make this short he came out a stapping 10lbs and 1/2oz.
24 inches long and a head full of hair. And healthy. All that worry for nothing or an answer to my prayers. As for my 2nd. son I stayed on my meds and he came out just a perfect but a few lbs. lighter as he was taken before his due date he was 7lbs 14 oz.
I have heard of birth defects with the meds I was on but they didn't happen to mine. I think they must be few and inbetween. When you think of it everyone worries about birth defects  because of one thing or another.
I wish you a wonderous pregnancy and a joyous birth of your child.
