[epilepsy] Re: My intro

Debbie thanks for sharing your story, I hope you find a neuro that works for you. Do you have any friends /family that live close by? I thik it would be very dangerous to get into your car and drive when having a episode.
Isn't wierd how when we need help we don't ask for it? You knew something was wrong but you fleed rather than trying to get help. I know I have done similar things in the past, please be careful :)

Currently the only anti-seizure med I can tolerate is Klonopin and that is not doing a very good job. Have tried all the meds with the exception of the older generation meds and Depakote. I'm ultra sensitive to the side effects. Currently I am on drugs that lower the threshold for seizures but I have to stay on these to control my mood disorder. In between neurologists at this point but have a good psychiatrist who is trying to monitor all this.

My cat is serving as my seizure dog for now, will follow me around and start staring at me which leads to yowling loudly at me and getting up into my face looking at my eyes. Usually an aura will occur shortly after that. I am now listening to my cat's wisdom :-)
