Dizziness can also be caused by sinus infections, as I have personally experienced a number of times. It's worth seeing a doctor, as several causes of dizziness can be easily treated.
I also want to mention that double vision or other visual disturbances and dizziness can also be symptoms of overdose for certain AEDs. If you are experiencing these symptoms and haven't had your blood levels checked recently OR you have switched to a generic version of one or more of your meds, I would recommend meeting with your neuro. Megan had severe overdose reactions when she went off of another drug that had been blocking the uptake of Lamictal into her bloodstream. She passed out twice, once face first on concrete, and the second time she broke off her front teeth as she hit a table on her way down. It's ironic that her only severe injuries related to epilepsy were actually caused by a drug that was supposed to have fewer side effects than the depakote that works so well for her. Sigh.... you live and learn. In our case, we learned that we need to trust our experience over doctor advice. Megan's insurance also stopped paying for brand name drugs at one point, and the generic broke down in her system too quickly. She'd have symptoms of overdose in the morning after taking the meds (dizziness, nausea, double vision) and then would frequently have seizures hours before it was time for her next dose. We determined very quickly that generics were not an option for her.
