I was on Dilantin for more than 20 years and my doctor always insisted that the generic brands are not the same. I don't know why but I understand this is has not changed. I switched to Tegretal several years ago and it's generic does not have this issue.

Brand name Dilantin is stronger than the generic for me. Different
people in the group have said that the Brand name is better for
them also.
