does it make a difference when you switch from name brand depakote to a generic brand? The pharmacy assured me it would not, but i am not sure and its for my little girl who may not be able to tell me it makes her feel different. HELP!!!

Subject: [epilepsy] headaches and clenching teeth
I never used to have side effects from my medicine and it worked great. But then the pharmacist switched to getting it from a different company and the headaches started. They switched back and the headaches didn't go away.
It's not worse in the morning so wearing any of those night guard things won't help. It's just on and off a lot during the day when the top of my teeth (sides) hurt and my head hurts.
I think I need to start tracking how often but other than that I don't know what to do. The only pain killer that works is Tylenol 3 and even that doesn't always help. The only thing that seems to work all the time is to lay there with an ice pack on my head. But I can't always stop what I'm doing to do that.
I'm not sure what anyone here can tell me but if there is anything you can think of, please let me know.
Thanks,
Uhura
