Hi Folks
On the subject of 'natural' vs 'medical' if that is the proper way to put it here, (I am not a doctor nor
pretend to be one) even though you may have to have your medications also, a little natural does help in any
medical condition to be able to live more at ease. Natural itself, I never say to be a cure and neither is
medication, as there are always side effects sometimes worse than the given condition itself. This is where
the 'natural' can come in mighty handy and help with the side effects.
For myself, I went from a 'shoe-box' full of meds many times per day, down to 2. That, Millie is just my
experience. You can't drop the medications completely but you might be able to decrease the amount or dose
and also get rid of the side effects of what you do take. This is what the 'natural did for me' ...decreased
my AEDs and side effects and now able to live a more normal life.
You have to be careful with things marked 'natural' also though, as for example: a mushroom can be natural but
it can also be poison. You have to have the right kind and the right balance of ingredients.
There are lots of warnings out about St John Wort as for one they interact with some of the AEDs.

Whether it be food or be it any kind of med. natural or otherwise if you don't know all the ingredients be
leery. They like to fool us also but if an ingredient sounds fishy beware...like 'warfin' how many products
have that in used as a blood thinner....it is also used for killing mice. Why put that in our bodies ...if it
kills mice it is liable to kill us over time. Like I say am not a doctor but have worked around medicines and
know to 'go by the sound of the name' if it sounds like, or has part of 'warfin' in it, it's there or all of
the same family.
Just my 2 cents worth.

Tim,
Since I was brought up in a home where my father was an organic
farmer and he thought natural was the way to do-- I tend to lean
that way. But I have learned that doesn't work for me with EP.
I would like to hear what others are experiencing and saying.
