You should get your A1c test done (that is an average of your glucose level
over the last 3-4 months) and get a meter. Having the meter is a drag at
first but then it becomes a habit and helps keep you on your path. I have
been able to get my glucose under control in less than a year by diet and
exercise. The main thing I do is keep carbs under 150 per day and exercise 6
days a week. I started with just 3 days a week but enjoy it so much I have
added the other days. My grandmother and mother had diabetes but you can
change your direction if you act now. Good luck.
