[fast5] Re: I just received your post..

Hi! I agree with you about the psychological factor. I've experienced it as well. I started FF in August and did quite well until Christmas. Then I took a trip and went off for a "little while." Then it was so hard to start up again. I would find myself wanting to eat and feeling it just wasn't fair that I couldn't eat!

After a couple of months of fits and starts, I've been back at it for a few weeks now. It really has required a determination on my part, though. Not because of real hunger, but I've had to decide that this is what I really want to do and it has gotten easier with that determination.

I do have trouble eating in the middle of the day and find it easier to try to push the window later in the evening. Then it is easier to close the window an hour or two before bed time and get to sleep before I want to eat again!

It's nice to have this forum to share experiences. We aren't the only ones with these struggles or feelings.

Elizabeth

The meal i had earlier was some baked teriyaki chicken breast that i cooked and some french fries. That was it and was busy afterwards and now its 3oclock and my window is closed, so im fasting until 10am tommorow.I wanted to say that from 1998 until 2003 i was doing this all the time without too much problem, but ive only recently started back again and sometimes it feels like im starting uphill again from the bottom and psychologially my mind is constantally thinking about sweets, not dinner food or any real big meal just something crazy like chocolate or jelly beans . And it's a real battle it seems mentally anyway to focus on just fasting, but im glad your support group is here and its helping me a lot. also i wanted to say i had grown comfortable eating early in the day and i tried to eat somewhat later and it felt too awkward and the sugar withdrawl was still there so it seems like its a personal battle with just that i guess. Thanks for replying to my exceptionally long post LOL..just like this one.. bye.
