I saw my Neurologist today and explained how 10 days ago when I was sitting here at my computer mid afternoon, I realized my neck was twitching to the right. Then it seemed I came 'out of it' and was okay, although felt tired, a diferent kind of tired.
And for the 1st time to anyone, I revealed when I have these episodes, my left hand feels odd, almost weak and limp.
You see, my brother was born with brain damage and subsequently has cerebral palsy, and epilepsy as well as an inoperable cyst inside his brain.
When I was a kid and we played with others like on a ball field and such, he'd fall to the ground in a grand mall and I'd run to him, remove 1 of my flip flops and shove it in his mouth, then I managed to get him home where he'd have another GM flipping on the ground.
It was awful.
So I never wanted my Mom to know about me cuz we're her only kids and I don't want her to have both children afflicted, especially now that she's 82.
Anyways - my Neuro says my last episode sounds like a front lobal partial complex seizure - hope I remembered that right - LOL. :)
She referred me to another Specialist who does 24 gour EEGs.......and, for a good laugh, I'll phone tomorrow to see how many million dollars they want.
She did add if I have another seizure, she'll put me on either Kepra or Lamactil [sp].
She didn't commit to diagnosing me with EP when I asked her.
