Hi CBI,
Those are very interesting questions! Having your seizures under control would mean not having seizures since ----. There isn't a specific period of time which makes it official that means your seizures are under control. A very common way of saying it would be "I'm seizure free since (and then say a date)." As far as to drive, state by state have different perieds of time you need to be seizure free to drive. I haven't had a seizure since surgery 2 1/2 years ago, but still shake when I feel stress. But, don't have seizures. Man can I get all shook up when stressed out! But like I said, I'm not having seizures (so far) because of my surgery. We are affected in different ways as far as how much we shake, how that affects us and whats we are feeling within us because of the shaking. If that makes sense?
As far as age goes, for the general population. Kids who have seizures just might out grow them. Then during middle age people having seizures decrease. As we get older, more people have seizures. It doesn't mean you have epilepsy simply because you have a seizure. Simply put, the most common age to have a seizure is young and older, middle age is less chance of having seizures for the general population. Take care, keep a smile on your face!

> What is good seizure control? Does having tremors count? How many seizure do those on medication have each year and be considered under control? When partial seizures occur and don't develop into larger seizures, is that considered not in control? As we get older does seizure frequency increase? Any experiences for those in their 50's and 60's who have had seizures for years?
