One of the things I have done to help my memory and working with my doctor is to keep a medical diary. Whenever I have a seizure I track it on a calendar in the back of the book as well as make notes what I was doing before the seizure. It's helped me find causes of my seizures. For example, operating a lawnmower or snow blower I have found will result in a partial seizure. I therefore don't run this equipment any more. I don't know if others could use this technique but it is something that permits me to keep private thoughts and also allows me to come through the confusion after a seizure. I usually get annoyed with myself thinking I did something to initiate it but that isn't the case for the most part. I hope I will be able to draw other similarities in the future. My wife things when I push myself in exercising or working in the yard that it will cause one. I'm not convinced but my records may reveal it otherwise in the future.
I also keep track of blood levels for the medication I take as well as should I miss a dose, which is rare. Just a thought others may want to try this technique. I do caution that this is something you should keep to yourself and only you let others know what you wish.
It is probably the most private thing I have and I don't want it used or misinterpreted by others. I have had my wife write up her version of what happened and I tape her notes into the book to include it.
That also has helped. Thanks everyone for your support. Take care.
