Susan,
I have been on Dilantin and Phenabarb for over 20 years. Nobody knows I have EP unless I tell them
And I have told quite a few people. Those med kept me from szs for over 5 years. I had a sz last
year because I neglected to take my meds for 3 days. Why? I don't know.
I take 3 Dilantin Mon, Wed and Fri and 4 the other days. I also take 4 - 30 gr phenabarb every day.
I also take 1 Evista. 1 aspirin and 1 Vit D.
My 2 daughters call me after 8 am and 8 pm to ck to see if I've taken my meds. That has been working
out pretty good. I have never had a hallucination. Yes, I am confused after a sz. My daughters say my brain is scrambled for a few days. But that is because of the sz not Dilantin. Since I had a sz because of not taking my meds--he put me back on the same meds. They work for me. But everybody is different and you need to
take what works for you..
Millie
