[epilepsy] Needing help for my beloved Oreo aka couch buddy :(

 

Thank you Jewl for showing me the gofundme website when supporting your own fur kid Rocky. Sadly my beloved Oreo who has been by my side for over 15 years was diagnosed this past week with a very aggressive Mast cell tumor. The cancer is very aggressive and the only option he has is surgery to remove the tumor which within only two weeks has become the size of a lemon.

I am sure you can all relate with being sick and having our own medical bills which can present quite a challenge when our pets also become ill. We have paid out just within this past week over $500.00 in blood panels, scans, medication to manage pain and office Veterinarian visits.

My spouse has set up an account on gofundme.com for Oreo to help with his surgical costs since we are beyond stretched financially. I have also placed some of my personal items for sale on Craigslist in order to help raise money for surgery. Oreo has held such a special place in my heart that I will do whatever I can to help him.

For those who have been keeping up with my beloved fur kid Oreo through out this year I am sad to say Oreo was diagnosed Thursday with aggressive Mast Cell cancer. His tumor is located on the front of his neck area. Oreo has so far gone through a needle biopsy, extensive blood work and yesterday evening a round of scans and x-rays. Sadly the expenses involved are quite high in order to help give Oreo a second chance at life. In less than three days we have paid over $500.00 and was told the surgery and after care would cost around $1,500. I have never asked for help nor support from anyone however we will do what we must to help our beloved Oreo.
