This is a really positive Keppra email.
Since the day I started taking it 8 years ago my seizures dropped to zero. I take 1000mg a day - 500 at breakfast and 500 at about 6pm. When I started taking them tho I walked around in a drunken cloud - it took a month or so to get used to them.
The only side effects I have are a slight unsteadiness on my feet when I get up in the morning - by the time I have pulled the curtains I am fine, and difficulty getting to sleep. Someone in the group mentioned 5-htp which is mainly Serotonin - I take 1 capsule of this when I go to bed - also when in the US in the summer I bought some 'Glucosamine Chondroitin PM' which is labelled as aiding sleep - it's got melatonin in it - this has worked very well and I have been falling asleep like a baby
Usual memory troubles but I've been on Tegretol for years as well

I would plan my departure, writing goodbye notes and videos for my children. Within 24 hours of taking me off Keppra I was back to normal.
