Skim milk or boiled eggs are pretty good sources of cheap and easy animal protein.
Also consider beans and lentils. They are easy to prepare. You just need to presoak the beans for several hours before cooking.

Whey protein, ice, coconut milk and some mixed berries is a pretty good one. Even if your lactose intolerant, most whey protein is pretty low in lactose.
