Kevin,
I have had seizures since I was a baby, which has been about 40 years now,
but I never really knew what kind they were until I got older and got out of
high school. When I started going to a neurologist, that is when I learned
what kind of seizures they were, which are complex partials. The doctors
probably told my mom when I was younger, but I never asked because I thought
there was only one kind back then. Mine are from the left temporal lobe from
the result of a head injury when I was a baby. After having surgery,
worrying seems to trigger a lot of the seizures I have. I take Keppra XR and
Neurontin for my seizures, but they are not completely controlled. They are
a lot better than used to be before the surgery I had done for them.Glad the
doctors have figured out the right kinds of medicine for you. Take care.
