Re: [epilepsy] How long did it take for your Drs to figure out what kind of seizures you have?

Kevin,

The day I had my first EEG 47 years ago they told me I had EP,
that I would be on meds the rest of my life and that I wouldn't
drive for a year. I had 3 daughters, 2, 4, and 6 plus a husband
(ex now)

I have never had many seizures and I don't remember what meds I
was on at first and my ex doesn't talk to me. I would like to ask
him some questions but anyway........

My kids were too little to know anything about the meds but they
knew when I had a sz. My ex had taught them to call him and he
always came right away. I usually fell on the floor but I woke
up in bed in the hospital or at home.
after they knew that I had EP they told us that I didn't need to
go the hospital.

My szs started when I was carrying my 2nd and 3rd daughters. Then
didn't have another until my youngest was 2.
