P's music is original, he grew up with a musical background inherited from his parents and like most of us listened to a lot of radio which influenced his writing and style of music. Me like him enjoyed almost everything on the airwaves so that's why u may hear a little bit of this and a little bit of that in his songs,I even catch myself saying "hey that sounds like George Clinton or isn't that an Al Green or Stevie Wonder move?! " Overall he has worked with other artist i.e. Stevie Nicks, Patrice Russian (check my spelling )...if I remember right he even provided keyboards on a Madona song or 2!
