Sudden headaches with weight lifting could be something bad ... like a blood clot or minor blood vessel break ... or high blood pressure? ... so yeah, check it out!
The only headaches I've gotten from dietary changes though, are migraines. In that case the blood vessels in the brain expand, and yes, shaking my head hurts. I stopped getting migraines when I stopped eating dairy, which seems to be the trigger for me. Migraines usually involve visual changes too though.
I would tend to get migraines when my fat levels went down. I think this is because fat stores various toxins and hormones etc., and as the fat breaks down it releases whatever it is into the blood. This is becoming a big problem for orcas ... when they lose weight dioxin gets into their blood and makes them ill. Good reason to drink plenty of liquid while losing fat.
Speaking of which, dehydration can cause headaches too, and sudden dizziness.
If it IS an expanded blood vessel thing similar to a migraine, a cup of coffee usually helps, or chocolate. If it's just plain dehydration, good ol' lemon juice or vinegar in water.

Any ideas what just happened to me? It kinda freaked me out, I have to admit.
This week I started exercising again... I haven't since starting back on F5.
My workout times are at 11:00 AM in the morning.
Yesterday I did cardio and it went great! I felt tremendous afterwards, it knocked out any hunger pangs that I had... I felt really great.
Today was strength training. First I stretched out, then my first routine was chest machine... I was pressing 110 lbs, was going to do 2 sets of 10. The first set was completely easy. I went at a very slow, steady pace. I start the second set after about a 5 second rest and after about 3 or 4 reps I got a sudden, throbbing headache and started feeling like if it didn't stop I would faint or something. I have NEVER in my life had a headache that hurt that bad... I've never felt like that before, ever.
I immediately stood up and walked and it all went away in about 30 seconds and I was back to normal. My head was a little sore still when I would shake it from side to side... the same way it feels when I have a normal headache and the faintness passed as well.
I was freaked out. After a couple of minutes of feeling fine, I started on my next exercise and as I started pulling the weight I could feel the pressure in my head again and I just stopped. I did about 10 minutes of cardio afterwards and decided to just stop until I can figure out "what just happened."
I have not done any research on these symptoms just yet, I wanted to run it by you guys and see if anyone has had this happen to them before?
Thanks!!!
Travis
