I'm still struggling with F5 too. My weight is holding but I haven't lost since May. Half the time I am out of my window. I found it so easy in winter because I found hot herb tea satisfying. I'm hoping to stay stable till October and then get serious again. I am amazed the weight hasn't come back on.

Our greatest glory consists not in never falling, but in rising every time we fall.

Some people find that IF only works if they also eat low carb as well. It's sort of like a one-two punch.
You can try to count carbs during your five hour window and keep them below a certain amount (like 30 or 50, etc.). That might help.

Exercise is a good way to get fat to metabolize, for sure!
You might try adding an egg to your meal too. Eggs are kind
of magic, and so is fish. And whey. Protein bars often contain
whey powder, which does good things to fat mobilization.
I don't use it myself because dairy gives me migraines, but
I have used it in the past.
Many people here have commented that getting more protein
in the evening makes the next day go a lot better. Peanut butter
is kind of problematic because it usually has sugar, and sugar
tends to trigger more hunger later.

Yesterday was pretty tough and I seriously considered quitting F5 once again.
Here are the reasons:
- I have been really irritable lately
- Feeling tired alot
- and to top it off, I'm not losing weight
I read back through some of my old journal entries and came across what could have been the best F5 day for me.
What did I do that day?
I exercised and I didn't open my window until 4 PM. When I did I opened it with vegetables and aprotein bar.
So, I'm not going to quit. Instead, I'm going to make some changes.
The changes are:
- I'm going to make time no matter what... I'm going to MAKE TIME TO EXERCISE!
- I'm cutting out peanut butter from my break-fast. Peanut butter is high in fat and whenever I would eat it with my vegetables I would eat quite a bit. I was eating it for flavor and for protein, but I believe this is a case where the bad outweighs the good.
Those are the changes that I will make.
I will continue making sure I drink plenty of water with ACV And that I do not open my window until 3:30 or 4 PM.
