Baked Halibut Steaks with Homemade Tartar Sauce - 1.6g Carbs, 0.2g Fiber
Fish:
4, 6 oz. halibut steaks
2 Tbsp. olive oil
juice of 1/2 lemon
salt and pepper to taste
Tartar Sauce:
1/2 cup mayonnaise
2 Tbsp. finely chopped dill pickle
1 green onion, finely chopped
1 Tbsp. drained capers, coarsely chopped
1 Tbsp. chopped fresh parsley
1 tsp. lemon juice
1/2 tsp. Dijon mustard
1/2 tsp. chopped fresh tarragon, or pinch dried
salt, pepper and hot sauce to taste
Preheat oven to 425 degrees.
Place halibut in a single layer in baking dish. Drizzle with olive oil and lemon juice; season with salt and pepper. Bake 10 minutes, or until cooked through. Serve halibut with a spoon of tartar sauce alongside. Any unused sauce can be stored in the fridge up to a week.
Note: If only large halibut steaks are available, ask our Seafood Clerk to cut them into individual-sized portions.
