Mariea,
I live in a retirement center of about 1,200 people. that includes independent living (like me--a 3 bedroom apartment with bath). We also have handicapped apts in my building. My building and 2 others are under HUD. My building is a manor of 150 apartments. I know most of the people.
Because of our age we have a large turnover. Someone is always going to the hospital, going to another building or dying. I am 78 but we have people younger and older than me in my building.
We also have assisted living and health care buildings.
I am on 3 committees so I kind of know what is going on most of the time. I am the liaison between my building and the large committee that makes decisions for the whole campus. Then I need to go back to my building and give reports of what happened there to the resident council and also to the residents. I also
give a report of what is happening in my building to the large group.
I have been here 13 years and love it. I moved here so that people know how I am usually and when I have
a sz (complex partial) someone calls my daughters who live in town. My last szs was over 2 years ago.
Millie
