> On 11/3/09 I came via Amtrak from Baltimore, MD up to Penn Station then to 223 E. 34th Street of New York City, NY for an appointment with Dr. Devinsky at the Comprehensive Epilepsy Center. He asked that I get a brain MRI performed locally and to come to NYU Langone Medical Center for a five day Video EEG, the MRI was performed 11/16/09, the VEEG lasted 11/30-12/5/09. I received a prescription for Keppra XR 500mg. tablets, two daily, both at bedtime. I knew he was a great doctor but now I think he's better than that, FACE is one idea of his Finding A Cure for Epilepsy. Harvard, Yale, NIH and New York University are a few places he has been. Since I began taking Keppra XR with my Vimpat, I haven't been aware of a seizure in 10.5 weeks. The longest was twelve weeks. This has been uncontrolled since '74, I hope this is a cure. Next appointment at 223 E. 34th is 1:30pm Monday May 10th.

> Subject: [epilepsy] New Research Study on Epilepsy and Religious Experiences!
>
> Â
> Hello, my name is Clover Youn, and I am a research assistant for Dr. Orrin Devinsky, the director of the NYU Comprehensive Epilepsy Center. We are conducting a study called "Ictal Religious Experiences" , in which we hope to speak to people with epilepsy who may have had religious experiences during or around the time of seizures. This study will be conducted either at the NYU Epilepsy Center or or over the phone, and should only take about 15-20 minutes of your time. If you are interested in being in this study or have any questions, please feel free to contact me at nyuepilepsy. religion@ gmail.com.
