Bruce, I know there is one for certain. I have studied effects of
Oxidative Stress in seizures and other Neuro conditions now for
4 years when Electrolyzed Reduced Water helped cut out like 75% of my
  daughter's seizures.

Go to the US Nat'l Library of medicine at www.pubmed.gov
<http://www.pubmed.gov/> & search: Seizures Oxidative Stress - the results
will show you the connection. Then switch it to Bipolar. See link on PubMed
  and look
for results and conclusion paragraph: "The Neuro-protective Effects of
  Electrolyzed Reduced Water.."
  http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3285010/

"Role of oxidative stress in refractory epilepsy: evidence in patients and
  experimental models."

  http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/23344052

  Now read this http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/9169001

Proper Hydration for organ function, hormones, enzymes etc is also very
  important in both as well.

Do you think there is a clear link? Seems to me that if the same meds are
used to treat both, then they have got to be related.

But the question is: Does the bipolar create the epilepsy or vice versa.
