Re: [epilepsy] Re: Driving

I haven't been reading too carefully, but just to throw this out there - I met my boyfriend online (okcupid) and he doesn't have a car! We've been dating for over a year and it's never been an issue. Online dating is a fun thing to try and it helps you gain some confidence. good luck matthew and don't worry too much about women, I'm sure someone great will come your way :)

Matthew,

Yes, I would date a guy who doesn't have a car and

uses a bus. I don't know if I can handle a bike anymore==

maybe a 3 wheeler.

Living without a Driver's License is not only an inconvenience, but it also

limits your chances of finding good jobs, as so many places nowadays make a

Valid Driver's License as one of the requirements. You can't even work at a

Gas Station if you can't drive!

But for me, it's been finding a woman or "girlfriend" while unable to

perform the two most common things people expect in a date... Pick her up +

Drive her home. Tell me ladies.... Based on first impressions and appearance

would you honestly date a guy who uses the bus, or rides a bike?

Then look at the rules for those of us who do get to drive, but then have a

seizure... Our licenses get Cancelled and we can't apply again for a few

months up to a year! To legally drive again, you need the okay from your

doctor, then go to the license place and arrange a date to do the road test

again!

Compare that to Drunk Drivers who only lose their vehicle for 24 hours! Or

people who suffer a Stroke or Heart Attack, and yet their licenses don't get

taken away! Why are we the only ones that have their licenses Completely

Cancelled?
