Re: [epilepsy] Kim

No I live about 3 hours NORTH of L.A.  Now we are staying in a campground that
was about a hour from the seminaer.  We took the train in and it got us right
there.  I have been staying with a friend close to L.A. and been away from my
parents and had a chance to talk to someone who went through all this already.
I didn't realize until my mom told me the night before that it wasn't a walk it
was just a seminar and they talked all the time about younger kids getting to go
on that fat and protein diet to try and end seizures for younger people..

I have had seizures since I was 13 and my period started.  which makes it about
18 years that I had seizures.  I just had brain surgery in SF about 4 months
ago.  My seizures I am just gone for a little bit and I mumble when I talk.
When I was in the hospital and pushed the button for them when I had one I guess
she couldn't tell i was having one.

No I don't have any children.  Being 31 years old I have never had a boyfriend
in my life.  I have always thought why would anyone want a girl with a problem..

I still live with my parents.  Having seizures I have always been scared to be
by myself.  I had like 3 a night a couple of days ago and then my doctor put me
on a new pill to take at bed time.  Yes these are since the brain surgery.  I
had the seizures every  morning at 4:30 for about 3 weeks before I finally
called the doctor.  The depression during the day and going to bed telling
myself tomorrow will be better... getting up at 4:30 having seizures before I
get up just ruined my whole day before I got out of bed..

I feel I am close to wanting to or maybe working I'm just trying to give my
brain a chance to heal.  It is so hard to do many things everyday that I just go
to bed and cry because I can't do some simple things.  I just have to rest and
then get out of bed and do things right away...

Healing and time.  Plus the antidepressant that I got told would make me more
depressed before it works!

Thanks everyone.

Kim,

I am changing to the group so more people can learn to know you.

I hope this goes thru. The last time I tried this it didn't go thru. How
about telling the group some of the things you told me?

Millie
