Anastasia,
Do you see a Neurologist? What you have described is simular to the
Complex/Nogastic kind of seizures I have had through the years. I've
had 2 of those this year. The last one I had was in June. All I was
doing was taking a pizza box down to the trash room. I somehow
walked right out of the apartment building and was walking around
town for a couple hours without knowing it. My wife had neighbors
and the police searching for me. A cop found me walking and he
was able to snap me out of it by holding me in place and asking me
my name. When he got my attention, He could tell my eyes were still dialated and none responsive. He got me in the car and brought me
home. I was still shaken up and he got my wife and the 2 neighbors
to help me back to the apartment. A few minutes later I was back to
normal and was filled in on what had happened. This type of seizure
is somewhat like a person sleep walking. I have had this happen
several times over the last 45 years that I've had Epilepsy. My
suggestion is to talk to a neurologist and describe in full detail of
what you told us.

Hi everybody! I know I've been pretty much a lurker, but I do think of you guys often and really appreciate that you're here.
I don't have epilepsy, I have pseudo-seizures...That is the diagnosis, though I'm not 100% confident in it for various reasons.
Anyway, I have been starting to have more seizure activity recently, which I don't like but I'm dealing with. I thought it may have been because last month I was a little off on my low dose birth control schedule (for hormone issues). When I first started taking it, my seizures decreased phenomenally, which was a great side effect. Now its been a month and I'm still having increased activity.
Today I had a bizarre event that I would like some opinions on. I was walking from one end of my trailer to the other in order to answer the phone. While I was 1/2way, I suddenly got vertigo/incredibly dizzy. This was more powerful than usual, but I do get sudden dizzy spells so I don't freak out when this kind of thing happens, just go with the flow. The next thing I knew, I "woke up" with my eyes closed and with my body still walking. Luckily I was in a clear area and didn't bump into anything. Occasionally I'll have tiny blank spots in my memory or the feeling of a split second loss of awareness, but I have never had one that was so noticeable while walking. After "waking up" I was still rather dizzy/vertigo, and short of breath, but I was able to answer the phone. I am now getting a headache (not unusual for post-seizure for me) that feels like a huge nail is rammed diagonally into my brain.
Is this a seizure?
Thanks to whoever who stuck through and read this whole thing :) I hope everyone here has the best day they can. I'm not really freaked out, I just never had it like this before and it makes me worry something new might be coming up.
Anastasia
