Great answer Lan. Your answer reminds me of a brief conversation I had with one of my cousins in Chicago. My cousin Angie and I were talking and I mention that I was a fan of Prince's music and she was one of the people who inadvertently turned me onto Prince's music. She had the 1999 album in her room when I was visiting when I was in my teens and I asked her if I could play her album, she said yeah. Not to go into a long story but when we spoke not to long ago I again, told her I was a fan of P's music and she responded "You still listen to him"? and I was surprised and taken back by that. That just showed me that she was only into the music that has been labeled "hip" by radio stations and video shows or blocks. VH1 Soul and stations like that. Like you said Lan, you would have to be hardcore on some level to know that Prince has had an album before LoTUSFLOW3R. Every album since Musicology has had some form of advertisement on some level for fans and non-fans alike would know P had a new album. I believe as long as Prince has air in his lungs and he's able to perform he's going to make albums or music. He's been making or performing music since he was a child playing at his father's piano. That's a gift that keeps on presenting itself. I love it ...

ABSOLUTELY!! ...I believe he most definitely DOES have it in him........but WILL he do it again??? ....that I'm not sure about...I feel that Prince has matured to a point in his life where he makes music for himself now.....he doesn't necessarily make the music that will be mainstream or that will cater to the public's mass interest.... .I think he simply feels it and then he simply does it....and he knows that his loyal "Purple" peeps will always appreciate where he comes from with his musical directions.. ..he writes differently now.....I think he sees differently now....and I think his music comes from a different place within him.....it's really sad that he's not recognized by his new music, because yes, some of it is truly fantastic... .that man is a genius to be recognized!! !!! ....and yes, let's be honest.....some of the music - you would probably have to be a loyal follower to acquire the love for it....but I agree with you, I honestly can't say there is one album that I don't like.....and what just kills me is that there are a whole lot of people who simply know him as "Purple Rain" or "1999" .....yes, two of his greatest hits, but he is about soooo much more than that!! ....and he continues to be about so much more than that!!! So personally, I believe Prince definitely still has it in him.....I don't think it ever left him!!! I just don't think it's all that important to him anymore..... That's just MY opinion.....
