Hi,
I hear that jasyn has been giving you updates little by little.
They took the dead tissue with some marginal unharmed tissue as well
just to make sure they got it all. I had 2 tcs yesterday, but none
so far today. My main sz type is complex partial with auras. They
got my VNS back on and running, so that part is good. I have a
horrid headache, and my head is wrapped tightly in heavy gauze to
prevent it from bleeding all over and to protect the head where they
took out the bone, and then put it back in with special screws and
plates.
Even while they were working on my brain the EEG maching was running
and it was abnormal but there were no clinical signs of a sz and that
is therefore called sub-clinical.
So I was szsing in my brain with no outward signs.
They kept a close watch on me.
THey give me Demerol for pain and this medicine called Roxicet that
is a liquid form of Oxycodone also for pain and then morphine at
bedtime. They stagger the two pain killers so they are not on top of
each other.
I hate the beds, the food stinks, and I fell and hit my forehead on
the bed tables one of those GMs but there was an RN in the room with
me when it happened. So he apparently caught me so I didn't get the
brunt of the hit. I bit my tongue and had to have it stitched up. I
am pathetic right now, I am surprised Jasyn hasn't told any of this
to you guys.
They are going to release me either Friday or Saturday depending on
what my wound site looks like. If it looks good then they will send
me home at the end of this week, if it looks like it could use some
more time then it will be a day to day basis.
But the Nurse is standing here with the Roxicet and some juice to
swallow it down with because it tastes nasty.
I will go for now, becuase my head is killing me and I just want to
sleep more. I will talk more another time.
