" Each night, this joker – I kid you not – was eating an astronomical 576g of fat and 6,454 calories for dinner! In one single meal"
1. Umm. Right. First, Ori never subscribed to that sort of overeating.
2. Second, Ori didn't "invent" IF. Some researchers working with mice did. Mice, in case you haven't noticed, aren't prone to fad diets. They don't read much.
3. Yeah, I'd guess Colpo isn't a fan of IF.
4. "He who says it cannot be done, should not argue with he who is doing it". I've read a lot about the pros and cons of IF. Both exist. But the fact is: it freed ME from 20 years of being a slave to constant eating. That's all I need. I've done 5 meals a day, now I do 1. 1 is easier. And overall I'm healthier.
5. Ramadan, and most studies, are rather short-term. It takes a long time for the body to adapt to this sort of thing. There are no (to my knowledge) studies of people who have been doing it for a year or three.

6. All that said ... he is talking about competitive athletics. I COULD very well be that in order to win at the Olympics, or to build massive muscle, you need to eat 5 meals a day. I dunno. That's not my goal, never was. I do know that to raise very muscular (i.e. meaty) chickens, you DO have to feed them all day long. It works. But they are not terribly healthy birds. Muscle mass does NOT equal "health" or even longetivity.

Why Intermittent Fasting Isn't All It's Cracked Up To Be
Intermittent fasting (IF) proponents make all sorts of lavish claims, many of which are complete BS. Discover the real science IF proponents haven't told you about.
