Re: [fast5] Desserts

Hey Wallie

I've been on the Fast5 for around three months now, and have lost around 10 pounds, which seems to be modest compared to others on the diet.

Like you, I have days when I really crave something sweet (I find it REALLY hard to walk past a Dunkin' Donuts without going in!) and I do have days when I slip and wolf down a huge ice cream sundae. At least it's in my eating window!

I guess what I am driving at is that you need to take things slowly, day by day. You will have days when you slip and it will not be the end of the world. As you get more into the diet, you will find that you'll crave the sweet stuff less and less.

What also helps is watching the weight fall off. I tend to weigh myself everyday (I am fully aware that this is less than ideal) and finding that my weigh has gone down is great motivation. That said, please note that a number of people report no weight loss for the first few weeks, which is what happened to me. You'll find that your clothes will fit you less "snuggly" before the scale starts to move.

To help with motivation during these first few weeks (and keep you moving forward), you could take a few body measurements or even some photographs once you start, which may also help.

Hope that helps!

I'm a dessert addict. Has anyone had success doing fast 5, eating desserts AND losing weight?

If so, how do you discipline yourself, how do you moderate, what works for you?

Sincerely,

Wallie
