Stomach discomfort is common with any AED med. I ended up on aciphex
because every AED's I tried made me throw up. Make sure she is not
taking them on an empty stomach, that might do the trick right there.
Make sure she takes more then a sip of water as well, as having
hydration with AED's is helpful with digesting them, topomax is most
sensitive to this.
The same problem that causes this with trileptal generally causes this
in the same patients with any AED they take, so don't consider it the
only reason to stop her from taking it unless it it severe, and her
seizure coverage is not adequate. Talk to your Dr. it for sure.
